Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
ComingSoon.Net reports that the latest issue of Premiere Magazine has a great article on Indiana Jones 4. Here's a sample from the article:
Ford: I'm very pleased to be part of [the trilogy]. I was able to take it a lot more personally [than the Star Wars trilogy] because I was more central to the films. It was a wonderful experience, and that's why I'm so happy to do it again.
Spielberg: About three years ago, Harrison got kind of nostalgic for the character, and suggested that if we were interested in another one, he'd be interested, and I think that started the ball rolling.
Lucas: We're all getting pretty old. To be honest, I was reluctant to do [a fourth film], but it really had to do with those guys. Harrison and Steven said, "I really want to do another one."

This may get me banned from mikull.com but here goes anyway.
God that lucas is a dick. First he ruins the greatest movie series of all time with Episode I and then backs it up with an OK movie in Episode II. What? I am supposed to think it was a good movie because yoda finally whips out a light saber. The love story sucked, and the movie only had a few other moments. Jar Jar was in it for 2 minutes, after lucas realized how much everyone in the world hated him, and he still manages to destroy the universe.
Now Lucas has to be forced into making another INDY. What's wrong with this guy. He has officially lost it in my book. The sun has set on his day in the sun.

another thread from the depths with an update- The official launch date for the upcoming Indiana Jones IV will be May 22nd 2008. Here's a brief snippet from Starwars.com -
Quote:
"Star Wars fans have long thought of May as the birth-month of their beloved saga, and in 2008, they'll be welcoming a globetrotting archeologist to the party. While May 2007 marks the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, May 2008 marks the return of Indiana Jones in the fourth feature film reuniting Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford and George Lucas. Paramount has just announced the worldwide release date of Indy 4, so mark your calendars now: Thursday, May 22, 2008. Stay on top of the latest Indy announcements by checking out indianajones.com."

For the first time since 1989, Harrison Ford dons the familiar costume on Thursday, June 21, 2007, as the upcoming Indiana Jones adventure begins production under the direction of Steven Spielberg. The new Indiana Jones movie is set in the 1950s and stars Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent. The Lucasfilm Ltd. production will be released by Paramount Pictures worldwide on May 22, 2008.
hahaha, good one Tom.....
to be honest he doesn't look that old in Indy mode
i'm really hoping that this is going to be good, I am expecting it to be different from the other Indy movies though.
we'll see come next May.
Sean Connery was older than dirt in the last Indy film, it was still awesome. I don't think the Indy series ever really had anything to do with his age. Just a solid plot and Ford playing his role to perfection is all I ask.
I might be a bigger Indiana fan then Star Wars, although Temple was definitely not up to par with the other two, but I think Return of the Jedi doesn't compare to the first two Star Wars either. I really hope this is going to be good.
On the first 3 episodes of Star Wars: I went back and watched Episode III the other night - I remember seeing it in the theater and thinking he did a good job on at least one of them - but it was pretty disappointing the 2nd time around, and compares in no way to even Jedi. Anyone agree? I think we would have been better off never having Eps. I-III.
this youtube video from comicon that Ainticool News has posted has a nice suprise for you Indy fans.....another actor comes from hiding for the next movie. You
may remember her.
