 Flickr Pool
I'm looking to do some cool things with Flickr around here this summer... aside from being reminded at work (where although we had been saying to use something like it for many months, someone else rocked it and got all the accolades /sigh)- ProfeC has done some nice development and renewed my building interest... I'm always slow to adopt anyway. Now be the time!
Where you all at with Flickr?

well, i think i would actually make use of Flickr if I actually had a digital camera, and not the one on my Imac.....a camera that i can actually take outside and take interesting pictures instead of distorted pics of me sitting at my desk! so i wouldn't know how to reply really to this unless you guys all pitch in to the Damien Fund and maybe i can by myself a nice digital camera.....anyone interested?
America.....FUCK YEAH!

well, you can get some digital cameras pretty cheap.
you could also take pics with your phone and upload them with one button... there's many options.
but Damien, I'll help you: your answer would have been D.

u can't really take to much i say to heart. i just figured that everyone knew what flickr was by now.
with tht said, it's easier to say "check out flickr.com" for more info instead of me trying to explain it. basically, it's just a way to share your photos online. so, if you are looking for somewhere to show off your photos, go there.
granted, there are many out there, but flickr seems like it's easier use.

update- the main page of the message board now features a flickr feed. i highly recommend trying this out- it's really easy, and we can have a lot of fun with here. if you have an account, or make one after reading this- post a link to it here. when we have enough interest, i can set up a group and update the message board with links to all of our pics.

Once again, I submit to you all: do you have a flickr account? If so, send me a PM or post a link here... If not, give it a try!!

my flickr photostream
I've had once since last year but didn't upload any so I thought I'd do that today. The pics are pretty dumb and not great. Books have I ever told you that I love your photography? It really is amazing. Madison Blues is probably my favorite and the one with the lights that make arrows. You're talented sir.
ps I'm digging the tie.

The internet has turned me off to keeping up with pictures. I do use a picture trail account but I never put anything of worth on there.
I'm the one vote for No, I use something else.

After testing several online gallery solutions, flickr eventually became my favorite. I noted here since I would like to get an active mikull.com flickr group going. It would be pretty cool seeing everyone's pics on the right side there.

if you haven't joined the mikull.com flickr pool yet, do so!
if you're in our flickr group, you can add your photos like this:
they will show up in the flickr community and on the sidebar of the message board.

I did it differently and quickly. Go under organize and click on your sets and then there's a tab for groups and all you have to do is highlight the pics you want to add or hold ctrl down and click on the pics you want to add and drag over to the groups pool. It's faster than adding them individually. I added a bunch on pics from shows as well as some pet picks and other things I find interesting.

Excellent! -- and the photos you added look great.
I'm working on the code for the badge right now; i have it set to "random", but it seems like it's only showing recent, random posts. Seems to be a known issue: http://www.flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/69493/

Still no solution... very annoying, as we have the beginnings of one killer photo pool.
I opened my own thread, in any case, hoping to get some flickr staff to address the bug:
http://flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/76694/
In the meantime, don't hesitate to add more pics to the pool, and check out what others are sharing!
