Uhhh? Doesn't the first movie have to be good for them to make the crappy sequel?

Doug Jones, who played Abe Sapien in Hellboy, told SCI FI Wire that his role in the sequel will be expanded and that they'll likely use his voice this time:
"The role of Abe Sapien will be beefed up quite a bit for part two," Jones said in an interview at Comic-Con International in San Diego over the weekend. "The relationship with Hellboy is going to be more fleshed out. ... The buddy thing ... and conflicts that arise with him are going to be more explored, which I'm very excited about. Abe gets more interaction with bad guys ... [and] has another little sub-storyline that I think is going to be delicious."

I'd watch a second Hellboy. The first one was enjoyable. Plus I only paid 2 dollars for it when someone traded it in.

Time Out caught up with Hellboy 2: The Golden Army director Guillermo del Toro, who gave a quick update on the sequel:
First up is ' Hellboy 2', which is due to go into production early next year. 'It will shoot in Hungary and the idea is to make a movie that is more fun, more loose and more spectacular than the original,' he explained. 'We all learned our lessons doing the first one and we want to put them to work on the second one. Mike Mignola and I have come up with the story and it's a little closer to the comic books than the first one was.'
The movie is expected to hit theaters in 2008.

Fangoria caught up with Guillermo del Toro who gave an update on the Hellboy sequel's schedule:
"We are preparing to shoot in May or June, but we don't start casting until January," del Toro tells Fango. The script, which tells of an imminent war between the creatures of fantasy and the human race, is currently being scrutinized from a monetary perspective.

IGN has premiered the teaser trailer for Hellboy II: The Golden Army, director Guillermo del Toro’s sequel to 2004’s Hellboy.
Geeks of Doom was actually the first to hit my feeds, so here's their write up, plus the teaser:

Who is the third hero in the diver/mysterio-esque costume?
Selma Blair is really cute.

Another one I'm really looking forward to. Mik, where is your top ten movies of the summer list this year?
Mine would probably be something like this(in no particular order):
Batman The Dark Knight
Hellboy II
X-Files
Tropic Thunder
Pineapple Express
Star Wars
Happening
War Inc.
Step Brothers
Iron Man(8/10)
I also kind of want to see that movie the Strangers too. The trailer makes it look interesting.
